Been (”we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with your use of the Been mobile application (”App”). Been is a location tracking app that does not operate accounts or collect personal data on our servers.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Been does not require account registration and does not collect or store any personal information on our servers. We do not collect your name, email address, payment information, or any other personally identifiable information.

2. Location Data & iCloud Storage

Your location data and App usage information are stored exclusively on your local device and, if enabled, in your personal Apple iCloud storage. We do not have access to your iCloud data or any location history saved there.

3. Analytics & Usage Data

We use Mixpanel, a third-party analytics service, to collect anonymized usage data to help us improve the App experience. This includes information such as features used, pages viewed, and actions taken within the App. This data is not linked to your identity. 4. Subscriptions and Payments

Been offers free and premium subscription plans. All subscriptions and payments are processed directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect, process, or have access to your payment information.

5. How We Share Your Information

Because we do not collect personal information, we do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Anonymized analytics data is shared only with our analytics provider, Mixpanel, strictly to improve our services.

6. Data Retention and Security

Since Been does not store your personal data on our servers, data retention and security are managed by your device and your personal iCloud settings. We recommend securing your device and iCloud account to protect your information.

7. Children’s Privacy

Been is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13, as we do not collect personal information from any users.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the “Effective Date” above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
