Choose an N5–N1 level and a study plan. Essentials focuses on the core deck; High Score adds more words. Each unit introduces up to 50 words.
Look at the written word and recall both its reading and meaning before revealing the answer.
Tap the star while studying to save a word. You can also add a word, its reading and meaning, and an optional example. Open Saved Words to review these entries separately.
Words, readings, meanings, and round-based review tools are free. Word Insights unlocks examples and translations, furigana, and word notes. It also removes banner and standard interstitial ads while a paid entitlement is active.
Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until cancelled. Lifetime access is a one-time purchase. Prices and any trial terms appear on the App Store purchase sheet. Open Word Insights and choose Restore Purchases after reinstalling the app or changing devices.
The app interface, word meanings, and example translations support English, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Burmese. Use Settings › Translation Language to override the device language.
The Korean-only kanji reading-and-meaning feature is available only when Korean is the active translation language.
Where required, the app shows a Google consent form before requesting ads. If Ad Privacy Settings appears in Settings, use it to reopen your choices. Tracking permission can be changed in iOS Settings.
